About me
Diana Vera brings a “shibari session” to Ananda Center.
This is not a massage as you know it. It is a rope treatment with a tantric approach and a transformational attitude. A session with elements of the traditional Japanese method of body tying can mediate to you deep relaxation not only on a physical but also on a mental level. The ropes create a unique feeling of surrender and strongly invite you to let things go. Some call it dominance, others call it kind of gentle-firm leadership. This service is often sought by people who would like to learn to let go of control and turn off their heads, and gentler methods such as massage or meditation do not bring them the desired result.
Diana has been tying shibari since 2013, and since 2016 she has been leading courses for couples in Prague, Czech Republic, focusing on the emotional benefits of tying. She has worked with over 1,000 people in private sessions, so her expertise is immense. She focuses most on safety for the body and on individual approach to the soul. Ropes are the tool of her first choice, and she creates each session after agreement, tailored to the client according to his wishes. Since 2019, she has been attending the tantric school The Art of Love by Jan Komeda and Marie Koudelková, and in her work she combines elements of tantra, dark eros, shibari, and dominance.
As for shibari, she was mostly inspired by her encounters with Kristina Marlen, George Barkas and Nicolas Arnoys. Before the ropes, she was certified as a therapist using the RUŠ method from Karel Nejedlý based on regression or studied at the Theatre Faculty of Performing Arts in Prague.
